Alumni Volunteer Event Set for June 1

The Twin Cities Illini Club will help sort and package foods at Second Harvest Heartland on Saturday, June 1. Sign up for the service event today!

Join the Twin Cities Illini Club and help area food bank Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park on Saturday, June 1 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. All who sign up by May 17 will receive a free U. of I. Alumni Association Service event t-shirt!
 

Friends and family members are welcome. Volunteers must be 8 years of age or older, and children must be accompanied by adults and have a signed waiver to volunteer.
 

**We have reached our current reservation limit and are checking on additional availability. Please RSVP in the column at right to join the event wait list and enter your t-shirt size in the Organization field! Please respond before or by Friday, May 24.
 

If registering more than one person, please create separate RSVPs by either listing each’s person’s name or registering each as "Guest of (your name)."

Volunteers should wear closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing and remove jewelry. Sorting and packing activities will be based on the facility's needs and the final group size. Participants can choose the activity most suited to the level of exertion they wish to take on.
