May Service Event at Second Harvest Heartland

Lend a hand with University of Illinois alumni and friends at the Twin Cities Illini Club’s May 31st service event at Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park, MN. Volunteers will help sort and pack food items for distribution to area neighbors in need. The club has reserved the 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. time slot on Saturday, May 31.

Event Info
The event is open to volunteers ages 8 years and older and will be held at the Second Harvest Heartland facility at 7101 Winnetka Ave. N. in Brooklyn Park. Volunteers should arrive at 8:45 a.m. and be prepared to stand for the work shift and lift up to 5 pounds. Once you sign up, email the club at tcilliniclub@gmail.com for your free Make an Impact T-shirt. Send your size and color preference (orange or blue) by May 21.
Dress Code
Volunteers should wear comfortable work clothing, close-toed shoes, and shirts that provide coverage (no crop tops or tank tops). All jewelry, watches, rings or bracelets will need to be removed. Lockers are available for storing personal items.
