Spring Service Event May 30

The Twin Cities Illini Club celebrates the annual Alumni Association Season of Service with a volunteer event at Second Harvest Heartland on Saturday, May 30. Sign up today!

Join Illinois alumni at the Twin Cities Illini Club's service event on Saturday, May 30 at Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park, MN. Volunteers will help sort and pack food items for distribution at area food shelves. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. 
 

Sign up today! Illini attendees are eligible to receive a free U of I Alumni Association service event T-shirt. Registration deadline is May 15.
 

To Join the Event

Then Register to Join the Event. Scroll to the bottom and click on the “Join this Group” button.

Deadline to register is Friday, May 15 at 5 pm CDT.

Once you sign up, email the club at tcilliniclub@gmail.com for your free Illini service event T-shirt. Send your size and color preference (orange or blue) by May 19. 

Event Info
The event is open to volunteers ages 8 years and older and will be held at the Second Harvest Heartland facility at 7101 Winnetka Ave. N. in Brooklyn Park. Volunteers should arrive at 8:45 a.m. and be prepared to stand for the work shift and lift up to 5 pounds. 
 

Dress Code
Volunteers should wear comfortable work clothing, close-toed shoes, and shirts that provide coverage (no crop tops or tank tops). All jewelry, watches, rings or bracelets will need to be removed before packing food items. Lockers are available for storing personal items.
